Project Details

Working in house at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (part of The University of Dundee) Danny Cassidy was responsible for the complete redesign of the college's website over a 10 month period. The previous website was lacking any clear identity, was extremely restrictive its navigational structure and page layout and for an art school conveyed little sense of the diverse and hugely inspiring range of activities occurring there. Spotting these limitations a series of grid based layouts were divised which were a clear departure from the traditional three column column designs found in the rest of the University's website.

The project also involved managing and rationalising huge amounts of textual content, photography and video, uploading it to the University's content management system and presenting it in a way that was clear, interesting and inspiring to the user.

Highly praised by management, staff and potential students the end result is a website which is a powerful marketing tool and presents the college as a forward thinking centre for research and education in art and design.
